If you would like to see the Everglades while spending a relaxing day on the water, then our Everglades Motorboat Tour is perfect for you. The Everglades contains miles of beautiful barrier islands along Florida’s Southwest coast known as the 10,000 Islands. The kayaks are great for exploring the calm waters of the backcountry, but the absolute best way to explore this vast landscape of the islands is by motorboat. The 10,000 Islands stretch from Marco Island to Florida Bay and include Everglades National Park, Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve, and the 10,000 Islands National Wildlife Refuge. In addition to the extraordinary wildlife, this area has been inhabited by humans for over 3,000 years! The ancient Calusa Indians, Pirates, Spanish explorers, Florida pioneers, and modern-day hermits have all left their mark here.
What You’ll See & Do
You’ll begin your tour by searching for one of our most sought after residents, the Florida manatee. These gentle giants utilizes the 10,000 Islands region as a source of food, fresh drinking water, and warm temperatures. You may also spot the many curious dolphins who are also frequent visitors and often jump in the wake of our boat. Be on the lookout for American bald eagles, osprey, roseate spoonbills, and a variety of wading birds as well. At some point you’ll stop at one of the islands for a little beachcombing and exploring. The beaches and shorelines are teaming with life on the barrier islands. Preserved and undisturbed, you’ll swear you’re the first one to ever set foot here! Everglades City makes a great basecamp for all of our tours. It is considered The Capital City of the Everglades as it completely surrounded by the 4 top parks / preserves. Everglades National Park, Big Cypress Preserve, Fakahatchee Strand and The 10,000 Islands National Wildlife Refuge all come together surrounding Everglades City.
*Remember, there’s no need to stress over preparing for your tour because EVERYTHING is provided. All you need to bring is your sense of adventure (and shoes that can get wet).
