Sunrise & Sunset - 2 Parks Tour
2 tours – 2 locations – 2 different parks!
So you love Sunrise & Sunsets ?? Then this is a must do on your Florida vacation. We start just before sunrise to explore the Turner River in the Big Cypress National preserve. This is a beautiful route with a combination of Mangrove and Cypress Trees. We time it so we are out in the open ponds as the sun rises over the Everglades. I will have water and a snack for us and we can even arrange coffee if you like.
After a break for lunch…. We will meet again for our sunset kayak tour. I’ll take you way out through the mangrove forest of the Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve. From there we’ll watch as the sun dips behind the mangrove and into the grass prairie of the Everglades. Don’t forget to bring your camera because you will get some amazing photos!!

Do you supply headlamps and other lights?
Absolutely! We have top quality headlamps for you to use once the sun goes down. They are a big help as we glide through the Mangrove tunnels at night.
Which routes do you do for sunset and sunrise?
Typically, I’ll do Turner River in Big Cypress for sunrise, and East River in Fakahatchee for sunset. If you prefer to switch them, that’s no problem!
Do we need special clothing, footwear?
You can dress comfortable for the weather that day. You may want to bring an extra layer or jacket for after the sun goes down. Closed toed shoes are a good idea as well.
