If you’re ready to immerse yourself in the wilds of the Everglades & 10,000 Islands, then The Everglades Big 5 Tour for you. Venture into the far reaches of the unique Everglades environment in search of The Big Five, Alligator – Manatee – Roseate Spoonbill – Panther – Black Bear.

Our local resident guides monitor wildlife movement throughout the year and can bring you to the right place at the right time to witness unique animal behaviors.  Courtship, mating, nesting, and hunting, for example, can all be observed year-round. We have also developed a few specialty tours for our guests that we offer every once and a while. These tours change throughout the season so check back often.

See All The Top Parks

Our Everglades Big Five Tour also takes you to the top parks & preserves in the Everglades. Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, Fakahatchee Strand Preserve and the 10,000 Islands National Wildlife Refuge.  This three-day eco-tour enables you to see diverse wildlife across the area’s diverse ecosystems via a variety of different tours. Your tours will include…

Everglades Kayak Tour through the Mangrove Forest – 3.5 hours in search of Alligator – Spoonbill

Motorboat Tour of the 10,000 Islands – 3 hours in search of Manatee – Spoonbill

Hiking through the great Cypress Forest – 4 hours in search of Alligator – Panther – Black Bear

Swamp Buggy Tour into the backcountry – 3.5 hours in search of Alligator – Panther – Black Bear

Everglades City makes a great basecamp for all of our tours.  It is considered The Capital City of the Everglades as it completely surrounded by the 4 top parks / preserves.  Everglades National Park, Big Cypress Preserve, Fakahatchee Strand and The 10,000 Islands National Wildlife Refuge all come together at Everglades City.

*Please remember that the Everglades is a vast area and wildlife come and go as they please. It’s very different from a zoo where you pay to see each animal in an exhibit. During our tours, we set out in search of the wildlife much like you would on a safari. We have superb guides that live here year-round and are very much in tune with the animal’s behavior and seasonal movements. Many of our guests have seen all of the Big 5 and have written about it in their reviews. However, we can not guarantee that you will have the exact same experience because every tour is different. Also…if the weather turns bad we don’t make you go or try to keep your money. You can monitor current local weather HERE as we do.
